New ISRM Suggested Method has been published

Prof. Resat Ulusay, Chair of the ISRM Commission on Testing Methods, has announced the publication of a new ISRM Suggested Method titled “Achieving Full Water Saturation of Rock.” The paper appears in Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering (RMRE). ISRM members can access the document free of charge via the Suggested Methods page.

Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering Glossary now available in Swedish

The Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering Glossary , with more than one thousand terms, is now available in Swedish

2025's issue of the ISRM News Journal

The 2025 issue, volume 28, of the ISRM News Journal is now online on the ISRM website. The News Journal includes news from the Society life, including board and regional reports, commission work, conference and symposia reports and papers from awarded members, among other content.

New ISRM Suggested Method video

A video on the Suggested Method for Determining the Abrasivity of Rock by the CERCHAR Abrasivity Test was prepared by the Rock Mechanics Laboratory, Department of Energy Resources Engineering of the Pukyong National University, Republic of Korea.
